NATIONAL LOTTERY FUND - BIG LITTLE MOMENTS
Collaboration with the fantastic team at 23Red, on the Big Little Moments campaign!
The campaign is part of a ten-year National Lottery funded programme set up by The National Lottery Community Fund to help families give their babies and very young children the best possible start in life.
This work revolves around the idea that every interaction, no matter how small, can have a huge impact on the brain development of babies and children. Using colourful, friendly characters representing adults and children, the work aims to drive understanding of social, emotional and language development, in order to promote more effective caregiving interactions amongst primary caregivers.
Static imagery and short animations focus on eight core behaviours and offer achievable ways for care-givers to interact with children during everyday situations – such as talking to the bump, or making time to play.
Working closely with the team at 23Red I developed a cast of colourful and friendly characters. These were later created into 8 short animations that I produced and directed. Below are examples of early sketch work, development ideas, final characters, animation and photography showing OOH sites and bus sides etc.
This has been a fantastic campaign to be part of, really visually engaging and very rewarding. I truly hope this pilot scheme will be a roaring success.
